You may have noticed that we're about to see some interesting juggling of the rotation, and I think I like it. Valdez takes Willis' normal spot tomorrow. That pushes Willis back to Thursday (still against the Pirates). Not only does that afford Willis, Burnett, and Beckett an extra day's rest, it also sets up A.J. and Josh to face the Nationals - in what is shaping up to be a surprisingly meaningful late-July series.
No picks from me tonight. I'm retiring from Ichthyomancy. After winning the first half contest, there's really nothing left for me to accomplish. More importantly, I wouldn't feel right winning my own prizes.
