Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Braves (5/3)

TIME: 7:35 @ The Ted

MARLINS PROBABLE:      BRAVES PROBABLE:

Al Leiter (0-2, 5.66)          Mike Hampton (3-0, 1.67)

Fortunately they're not playing down here tonight (although it does seem as if the Marlins have been on the road forever) as it's rained hard down here for most of the afternoon. The Marlins don't need anymore rain.

As you may have noticed, we've made some cosmetic changes to the site, and the Ichthyomancy Standings can now be found on the right side of the page towards the top. Feel free to add a comment or send an email about what you like, what you don't, what you'd like to see, etc.

For those of you who have already been playing, you'll see that Carolina is already threatening to pull away from the pack. It's time for us to step up our game.

For those of you who haven't played yet, it's still early in the year (and we just started last week anyway), so start playing! Besides, all you need to do is stick it out in the rain for five or six hours one night and you'll practically be caught up.

For today's pick, I'm making two selections: one, for Mike Lowell to star since he's facing a lefty, and two - which will probably become my standard when Leiter starts - is for Dontrelle to get a pinch hit. One day I'll be right about Lowell and one day I'll time the Willis pinch hit pick correctly.

New feature (which hopefully I can make work): in game line score...

Team 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E
Marlins 0 0 5 0 1 0 3 0 2 11 13 3
Braves 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 4 0 6 6 2
