There is joy in Marlin-land today:
...and Florida second baseman Luis Castillo, who won his third straight Gold Glove.
...
Eight-season veteran Mike Lowell of the Marlins ruled at third base, where Scott Rolen's reign of five straight seasons was ended by a shoulder injury.
...
The 31-year-old Lowell's well-chronicled offensive woes made it easier to appreciate the aggressive defense he has always brought between the lines. Talk about compensating for a quieter bat: Lowell slumped to eight homers, but made only six errors.
Lowell had a tough year but played solid defense throughout. Castillo battled through injuries and had a stellar all around season.
Congrats to Mike Lowell and Luis Castillo!
