Contrary to some published reports, The Miami Herald is reporting today that there is not an offer on the table to Joe Girardi. Yesterday, The New York Post reported that Girardi had been offered the Marlins' vacant Manager position.
Interestingly, both papers cited unnamed, high-ranking club officials. At this point, I can only assume that the Marlins mystery man is none other than this person:
