To be precise, it is actually games today.  The Marlins are going to split the squad and hit the road.

Part of the team will head to Fort Myers to play the Red Sox and the rest will go to Port St. Lucie to face the Mets.

The Fort Myers game:

The Marlins starting pitcher is Gaby Hernandez.

The Red Sox will send Josh Beckett to the hill.

Game time is 1:05 p.m.

The Fort Myers group will feature: Hanley Ramirez, Jeremy Hermida, Cameron Maybin, Alfredo Amezaga, Cody Ross, Chris Coghlan, Jose Castillo and Dallas McPherson.

The Port St. Lucie game:

The Marlins starting pitcher is Chris Volstad.

The Mets will counter with Mike Pelfrey.

Game time is 1:10 p.m.

Some of the players going to Port St. Lucie include: Dan Uggla, Josh Willingham and Jorge Cantu.

The Port St. Lucie game will be on 790 The Ticket and the Spanish language affiliate WQBA 1140.

There is no local radio coverage for the Fort Myers game.

Let's try that Magic Updating Box Score again, but no promises the links will work.

Should the links not work, and judging by the past, they won't.  Would someone kindly post them in the comments, if I am unable to.  I would really appreciate it.

Have a Great Saturday!

Watching the Mets game
Cantu is crushing the ball.  Had two homers that weren't, the first knocked down by the wind, the second a bases-clearing shot to straight-away center off Tradition's "blue monster."  I'd peg that second shot at 420 feet.

Alexis Gomez
Does anyone know how he ended up on the team? I can't figure it out besides him playing in Detroit in 2006 but he seems to be having quite the spring training...

He's an NRI
I know he was in Rockies spring training last year and I think he spent the season on their AAA team.
