Jeremy Hermida is doubtful to start

Jeremy Hermida is questionable for the start of the season.

Manager Fredi Gonzalez didn't sound terribly optimistic when he said he was ''hopeful'' right fielder Jeremy Hermida would be ready for Opening Day.

Hermida, who is nursing a sore left hamstring, is not being allowed to run but is taking part in other baseball drills.

Other baseball drills, at this point, means he is hitting in the batting cage.

The Marlins are 10 days away from the start of the season and Hermida isn't running yet.  It's not looking real good for him to be the opening day starter in right field.  But there is still hope.
