Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Cardinals at Marlins (7/18)

The Marlins are playing true to the game plan and will be going for the series win tonight.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Dontrelle Willis.

The Cardinals have Kip Wells on the slate.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Willis hasn't been the pitcher we have all come to know and love for most of his starts this season.  Sometimes the bad outings are due to one unfortunate inning and at other times his teammates let him down either offensively or defensively.  Not to mention the ones where he walked everyone is sight.  But he is still Dontrelle and is still quiet capable of throwing a gem.  And I wouldn't bet against him doing it.

Wells doesn't do his best work on the road posting a 7.88 ERA with a .305 BAA.  He doesn't give up many long balls but he has been very hittable in most of his outings.  The Cardinals offense has the tendency to take the night off in his starts.

Ichthyomancy is ready and available.  One note: rumor around the campfire is that Danny will given his first day-off tonight.  If that happens it will be the first game he hasn't started in this season.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

Well. . .
...My AAB pick lasted one batter... but I think I might have picked up a point for attendance... I'll chalk that up along with my D-Train multi-HR pick (coming soon)
