Reggie's Back

The Marlins organization changed their mind and Abercrombie is back with the team, as Jim B sort of noted.

Outfielder Reggie Abercrombie was back with the Marlins after the team changed its mind before officially optioning him to Triple-A. Reliever Lee Gardner was demoted instead.

Abercrombie flew from Kansas City to Albuquerque before receiving a call Sunday night from Assistant General Manager Michael Hill telling him to meet the team in Chicago. Abercrombie caught an 8 a.m. flight and reached U.S. Cellular Field around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

He did get to log some frequent flyer miles and if this happens a few more times, Reggie will be wintering on the French Riviera for free.  Or at least his trip will be free.

Forget wintering...
What will it take to get him out of the country from April to October?
