Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Mets at Marlins (5/27)

Today we once again face a potential member of the hall of fame.  Our third one in a row.  So far, the kids have been more than up to the task facing the still playing legends.

The starting pitcher for the Marlins is Dontrelle Willis.  The Mets send Tom Glavine to the hill.

Game time is 1:20 p.m.

I have no idea why I add p.m. to the game time when there is no way the team would start a game at 1:20 a.m.  Though a 1:20 a.m start time wouldn't preclude many FishStripers from watching the broadcast.

The game is one of the ones scheduled to be carried on Fox's regional coverage today.  Depending on where you live, you may have a chance to see it.

Glavine has been on top of his game in his last three starts.  With two star lefties going don't be surprised if some of the left-handed hitters are given the day off.

If you like to see how the Mets fans are feeling about the game, head on over to Amazin Avenue - that's where they hangout.

Ichthyomancy is in full swing.  It is a day game so be sure to get your picks in early.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:

We really have to stop these day game things...
Luckily it was pouring here in New York so I took the opportunity to go to sleep incredibly early (like 2am!)... otherwise, these damn afternoon games would keep wreaking havoc on my Ichthy standing...

...aaanyway...

Hall of Train Special: Willis allows fewer hits, runs, throws as many or more innings than Glavine.

YES!
Willy one (sorry) had a quality start, but the offense couldn't keep up...Willis's basic Line:

6 Innings Pitched 2 Earned Runs

That's quality, right?

This in every way meant to brag

Don't mean to be a downer
But there's a pretty good chance that after he pitched a CG, you won't be able to get away with the "quality start" AAB pick.

Points
The attendance for the game was 13,037.  The attendance point goes to Colombo.

Players earning points: Willis, Abercrombie and Borchard.

A point goes to: Colombo, C60, Double B and MarlinsDraft.

AAB points:  MarlinsDraft got his.

The "quality start" pick in the near future is no longer valid for Willis and Johnson.  Fortunately it is no longer above and beyond, which is a good thing.

Recap:

Colombo +2
MarlinsDraft +2
C60 +1
Double B +1

Congratulations to all of today's winners!  If I missed anyone or anything please let me know.
