I don't think Gaby Sanchez or Logan Morrison is trying to win a bench spot. And I'm pretty darn sure, Logan isn't going to be given the Robert Andino Memorial spot on the bench. If they Marlins do that, they are really screwing up.

"West Palm Beach and Vero Beach also appear poised to break records. As of 6:45 a.m. both cities were tied with their record low temperatures for March 4. The West Palm record is 40 degrees and in Vero Beach the record low is 37 degrees.
For cities closer to the ocean temperatures were in the low 40s."

I'm not sure there is a competition for the first base job. I don't believe that the team wants to start the clock on Logan Morrison. If Gaby stays healthy, the spot is more than likely his. Maybe not in the future, but will be for now.

A word to Glenn Geffner: give the score of the game more often when on the radio. It sucks to drive in traffic for 30 or more minutes and have no idea who is winning. Just a thought.

During the Grapefruit League season, the Marlins plan on batting their pitchers instead of using the designated hitter, which they have traditionally done in early Spring Training games.

The team will use the DH when playing in American League parks. But when they play A.L. teams at home, the pitchers will bat.
