My recreation of the 1956-1970 Miami Marlins logo
For those of us that were fans of the team in 2003 and feel that we deserve a World Series ring (less-so for those who jumped on the bandwagon ;D). Not sure if the offer still stands at this site but heck I would pay a little extra to get my own one. Or we can wait for the next one coming soon :D
Editor's note: I was late on promoting this to the front page, but it's definitely an interesting piece. Take a look at the full piece at Beyond the Box Score. Thanks, David
The Marlins made a big splash this offseason and look poised to win now.
Is it me, or did they put the marlin on the right side on backwards?

Heavy Metal guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen honored by the Miami Marlins at the rebranding ceremony on 11/11/11 (which was also declared National Heavy Metal Day by VH1 Classic).

The first players to wear the new unis in an actual game: the Marlins contingent of Surprise Saguaros. From left to right:
Corey Hart (the Suns hitting coach, not the Brewers OF), Dan Jennings, Evan Reed, Kyle Skipworth, Alex Sanabia, Paul Gran, Kevin Mattison, AJ Ramos, Matt Dominguez.
New logo with old colors.
It is real. Looks like I'll be rocking my "retro gear" for a long time. Maybe they'll realize how silly they look in a few years like the Florida Panthers and go back to their roots. That is if Loria lets go of the team or we don't win another World Series.
