Game Today

The Marlins are doing that split-squad thing again.

The first game will have some of the team traveling all the way to Ft. Lauderdale to play the Orioles.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Rick VandenHurk.  The Incredible Hurk will be followed by Ryan Tucker, Brett Sinkbeil, Marcos Carvajal, Scott Nestor, Ross Wolf and Doug Waechter.

The Orioles will trot out Steve Trachsel, George Sherrill, Cahd Bradford and Jamie Walker.

Game time is 1:05 p.m.

The second game will be against the Cardinals.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Ricky Nolasco.  Ricky will be followed by Taylor Tankersley, Dalls Trahern, Eulogio De La Cruz, Renyel Pinto, Lee Gardner and Burke Badenhop.

The Cardinals will counter with Adam Wainwright and probably some other guys.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Needless to say: the game will be played in Jupiter.

Local radio, 790 The Ticket, will cover the second game only.  I guess the gang isn't ready for a road trip, just yet.

Getting the magic updating score board posted could prove to be rather difficult for me for the day game.  However, I should be able  to post the one for the night game.

Have a Great Day!

Not making a great case to be a starting CF...

0-8 in his last three games, 1-15 in 5 games this spring.  Granted, that one hit was a homer, and he's drawn 2 walks, but he needs to pick up his game if he wants to troll center field on opening day.

Are you kidding?
I'm listening to the radio broadcast of tonight's game and they just said that Scott Olsen has been scratched from his start tomorrow because of left shoulder soreness. First Mitre, then Maybin, then Hanley's ankle and now Olsen? This is not looking good.

Update
Actually, I think it was left shoulder tendonitus. Whatever it is, it is a problem with his throwing shoulder and he will not throw again for two or three days.

Strange...
I was on the box score and accidently hit the audio button, and lo and behold, in came the radio feed.  Is it free during Spring Training?  Does my MLBtv from last season overlap into ST?  Did they auto-renew me and I somehow missed the charge?

I wasn't planning on getting it again, but if it's free (or, to a lesser extent, already sunk) then awesome.

It does auto-renew
But might be free during SP

Check your credit card statement
I've heard that MLB.com tends to auto-renew without any notification, at least I have heard people griping about this in the past.
Yes, I have a prospect fetish. That's why I'm a Marlins fan.
