The Zephyrs won a slugfest against the Omaha Storm Chasers 14 to 4. Top prospect Andrew Heaney struggled, and was knocked out in the third inning. The Zephyr bats were red hot, as they added 18 hits to go along with those 14 runs. Zack Cox reached base all five times he came to the plate, he also doubled and homered.

The Suns swept a doubleheader against Pensacola on Thursday night. In game one Jay Rogers threw a seven inning complete game, only allowing one hit while striking out nine. A Terrence Dayleg double scored the only two runs, and the Suns would win 2-0. The Suns took game two by a score of 4-2. Dayleg stayed hot, contributing another double, a run, and an RBI. The 3-4 effort on the day raised his season batting average to .315.

The Hammerheads struggle of a season continued, as the fell to the Blue Jays 5-2. The loss brings them 30 games below .500. In his second game since being called about from Greensboro Avery Romero added a single and Justin Bohn raised his average to .293 with a pair of singles. Trevor Williams had a rough outing allowing five runs in six innings, however only three were earned.

The Greensboro Grasshoppers dropped a game at home to Delmarva 5-0. The bats couldn't muster anything, all seven hits were singles. Jarlin Garcia was the tough luck losing pitcher, as he failed to allow an earned run, but still took the loss. Third round pick Brian Anderson went hitless in his second game with Greensboro.

Batavia defeated the Lowell Spinners Thursday 4 to 0. Chris Sadberry allowed no runs in a short stint, lowering his season ERA to 3.86. Mason Davis continued to improve upon his very impressive debut season, adding a hit to raise his batting average to .313 in 30 games.

The GCL Marlins defeated the GCL Nationals, by scoring two runs in the top of 10th inning. With the game tied after nine innings, an Angel Reyes two run homer broke the tie. Reliever Alan Scott would pitch the bottom of the 10th to nail down the save.
