Following a 5-4 13 inning loss to the Chicago Cubs on Monday night, the Miami Marlins will look to bounce back in game two of the three game series on Tuesday. The recently promoted Anthony DeSclafani will face Jeff Samardzija.

With Jacob Turner now serving as the Marlins' long relief man, Anthony DeSclafani will take his spot in the rotation. DeSclafani pitched well in his major league debut against the Dodgers, going six innings and yielding just two runs, but his second major league start against the Phillies wasn't as successful.
DeSclafani was inserted to improve the rotation, but with experience as a reliever, Miami may explore his versatility if he struggles.
Jeff Samardzija may not be a Cub come July, but he will be on the mound Tuesday night. In his last start against the Pirates, he gave up four runs while striking out seven. In his previous outing against the Marlins, Samardzija went seven innings and gave up just two runs.

|Darwin Barney - 2B||Jake Marisnick - CF|
|Eli Whiteside - C||J.T. Realmuto - C|
|Jeff Samardzija - RHP||A. DeSclafani - RHP|
Rafael Furcal returns to the leadoff spot, with Adeiny Hechavarria slotted in the two spot. J.T. Realmuto gets the start behind the plate, with Jake Marisnick hitting seventh.
Miami's offense couldn't take advantage of late opportunities on Monday, but will look to score early against Samardzija.
-Can the Marlins bounce back? After a tough and lenghty loss Monday, how will the Marlins respond in game two?
-Will DeSclafani go deep? Miami's bullpen was taxed on Monday, and at the very least, a six inning start may be ideal.
