MLB Scores: Los Angeles Dodgers 9, Miami Marlins 7 (11)

The Miami Marlins fell to the Dodgers 9-7 in eleven innings on Saturday night. Jacob Turner struggled, and the offense couldn't make a late comeback despite several rallies.

Despite being down by as many as five runs but making a late inning comeback, the Miami Marlins fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-7 in eleven innings on Saturday night.

With the game tied at seven, Marlins reliever Carlos Marmol entered the game and walked Juan Uribe in the bottom of the eleventh before Carl Crawford hit a two-run home run to right field to give the Dodgers a two run advantage that they wouldn't lose.

Making his first start for the Marlins since coming off of the disabled list, Jacob Turner struggled to find the strike zone. After Uribe and Hanley Ramirez RBI singles in the second and third innings, respectively, Turner gave up four runs in the top of the fourth inning.

In four innings of work, Turner gave up nine hits and six runs while while walking one and striking out three. Kevin Slowey, Brad Hand, Carter Capps, and Steve Cishek were all solid in relief of Turner.

A Jeff Baker home run and Casey McGehee RBI-double against Dodgers Paul Maholm kept the Marlins in the game early, and after quickly falling behind, Marcell Ozuna's second three run home run of the home stand in the seventh cut the Dodgers' lead to one.

Chris Withrow struck Giancarlo Stanton out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth, but Chris Perez loaded them again in the bottom of the ninth before walking Jarrod Saltalamacchia to tie the game at seven. The bases were still loaded with only one out, but Perez struck out Christian Yelich and got Derek Dietrich to hit a fly ball on a 3-1 fastball to end the rally.

Adeiny Hechavarria led off the tenth with a single against Brandon League, and after he reached second on an error, Stanton was intentionally walked. League then got McGehee to ground into a double play to end the threat.

League retired the Marlins in order in the bottom of the eleventh.
