New Orleans couldn't come back from a three-run deficit against Las Vegas on Thursday, falling 2-3. Bryan Petersen had two hits, as he continued his hot streak. Sam Dyson has now gone over five innings in all three of his starts since being promoted to Triple-A New Orleans.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns

Adam Conley, SP: 2.2 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
In a game that was moved back and forth due to rain, Jacksonville was shutout at home against Birmingham. Austin Barnes reached base twice and the Suns seemed close to scoring at times, but they couldn't get a run across the board.
High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads

Jose Urena, SP: 7 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K
In a game that lasted no longer than two and a half hours, Casey Kotchman had three hits and the Hammerheads scored seven runs on only eight hits. Jose Urena was fantastic on the mound, twirling seven dominant innings and generating ten groundouts. Urena's last four outings have all been quality starts.

The enticing duo of Chad James and Mason Hope reigned once again, as they combined to throw 12 strikeouts in eight shutout innings. Matt Juengel drove in the Hoppers' only run with his eleventh homer in the top of the sixth inning. Greensboro is now 57-64 with the victory, their third in four games.

The Marlins 2013 second-round pick out of ASU, Trevor Williams, pitched three impressive scoreless innings in Batavia's 4-2 win in Jamestown. Austin Dean and J.T. Riddle had two hits apiece to lead the Muckdogs lineup. Batavia is quietly starting to inch away from .500, at 28-24.

Cody Crabuagh, SP: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K
Cody Crabaugh demonstrated impressive control, effectively pitching to contact against the Nationals on Thursday. Crabaugh, selected this year out of Oklahoma City University in the 32nd round, is 6'6'' 220 lbs. and has gained a reputation as being a very competitive pitcher who is not afraid to go after hitters. Victor Castro had yet another big day at the plate for the GCL Marlins, reaching base four times.
