The Miami Marlins are going for the rare series victory versus the Atlanta Braves, but they will have to do it with the debut of Henderson Alvarez on the mound. He will go up against Julio Teheran.

The Miami Marlins have a chance to finish off a series versus the Atlanta Braves in winning fashion. This is an extreme rarity in the last few years, as the Braves have taken 18 of the last 22 matchups against Miami. Well, tonight's as good a night as any, since the Fish will feature the debut of Henderson Alvarez in a Marlins uniform in the regular season.

Henderson Alvarez will make his Marlins regular season debut tonight, and I for one am looking forward to it. He has some tough difficulties ahead of him thanks to his extreme lack of strikeouts, but if he is anything like the guy of 10 starts in 2011, the Marlins will at least have a back-end starter on hand, and a young one with some room to grow to boot.

Julio Teheran is the future of the Braves' rotation, or at least they hope he is after two years of struggling with top prospect status. The Marlins are hoping he is hittable enough to get some runs through.

2 Ed Lucas ---
3 Giancarlo Stanton .394
4 Logan Morrison .355
5 Marcell Ozuna .301
6 Derek Dietrich .306
7 Adeiny Hechavarria .270
8 Jeff Mathis .255
9 Pitcher ---

Jeff Mathis is in the lineup again because he is "hot," not necessarily because he is good against right-handed pitchers. Aside from Mathis and Adeiny Hechavarria, hey, this is no bad lineup either! Justin Ruggiano is continuing to play his way back into games against right-handers consistently. Giancarlo Stanton and Logan Morrison are good hitters, and even the rest of the middle of the order is acceptable. Heck, if we could just Ed Lucas's name a little further down the lineup, this would be a golden setup!

Now watch this lineup get shutout tonight #MJIJ

Bold Prediction: Braves def. Marlins 4-3
