Andrew Heaney was lights out in six scoreless innings in Dunedin on Saturday, and he got plenty of run support from his offense. Heaney now has a minuscule 0.88 ERA in thirteen appearances for High Class A Jupiter. Ryan Rieger homered twice, going deep in his second game in a row.
Low Class A: Greensboro Grasshoppers

Greensboro only managed two hits against the River Dogs pitching staff in Charleston Saturday evening. Scott Lyman was terrific once again for the Grasshoppers, but he went home without a win. Lyman now has a streak of four consecutive quality starts.

Batavia had an all-around outstanding team effort to roll over Mahoning Valley in their game today. Jarlin Garcia struck out seven in almost six innings, Austin Dean, Avery Romero, and others all had big days at the plate, and the Muckdogs never stopped adding to their lead. Batavia improves to 18-19 on the season with the victory.

The GCL Marlins lost to the Cardinals Friday afternoon, failing to string together consecutive hits. On the bright side, Ron Miller had two hits, including a triple. Miller, a 10th round pick in 2012 out of high school, has four hits in his last three games.
