A two-out error by Gil Velazquez cost the Zephyrs dearly, allowing three runners to score. The Zephyrs mounted a comeback in the ninth inning, but fell short, as the error proved a decisive factor in the game.

The Suns took an early two run lead, but a disastrous fourth inning lost Jacksonville the lead, and eventually led to a loss. The Biscuits began the rally with a two out double, followed by five consecutive singles.

After posting a stellar 0.87 ERA in June, Jose Urena delivered a similar performance in July to his 5.53 ERA month of May. It hasn't been entirely his fault, however. He pitched well in yesterday's start, striking out six batters and walking none. Too many balls in play fell turned into hits, resulting in seven runs allowed.

Mason Hope's showed a glimmer of hope in his last two outings, issuing zero walks. He slipped back into his old ways yesterday, but managed to get out of trouble before the runners scored. The 21-year-old has walked 46 batters in 80 innings pitched this year.

The Muckdogs struggled mightily with runners in scoring position, going 0-for-10 on the evening. Their three runs came from a home run, a passed ball, and a throwing error. Meanwhile, the Jammers routed them with fourteen hits.

The Marlins faced an uncharacteristically strong Mets lineup, including a rehabbing Travis d'Arnaud and recent first round pick Dominic Smith. D'Arnaud doubled in the top of the sixth to tie the game.
