Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs
L 1-5 @ Round Rock Express
Kyle Jensen, DH: 1-for-4, 2 SO
Duane Below, SP: 6.2 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 SO
After allowing a run in the first, Duane Below recovered to throw five scoreless innings. With the game tied, he allowed the go-ahead run to score and left two more base-runners on. Jonathan Albaladejo was brought in, and surrendered a double to allow his inherited runners to score. What should have been a strong outing for Below went south very quickly.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns
W 5-4 vs. Pensacola Blue Wahoos
Danny Black, CF: 4-for-6, 2 R, SO
Sam Dyson, SP: 5.0 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 2 SO
Grant Dayton, RP: 2.0 IP, H, BB, 5 SO
It's often said that Double-A is the greatest test a prospect will face. The jump from high Class A to Double-A is the largest in the minors. So, far that wisdom has held true for Danny Black. After hitting .314/.375/.396 in Jupiter last year, he has hit a dismal .192/.293/.242 in Jacksonville this season.

W 7-6 vs. Delmarva Shorebirds
Jesus Solorzano, RF: 0-for-5, 4 SO
Mason Hope, SP: 5.1 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO
Mason Hope looked like he was turning around his season in May, posting a 3.62 ERA, but he has regressed back to walking a ton of batters, and his ERA in June rose to 4.70. One more start and he likely will surpass his innings total from last year, but with a significantly worse ERA and walk rate.
Short-Season: Batavia Muckdogs
