The Miami Marlins begin a four-game series versus the defending World Series champions, the San Francisco Giants. It's supposed to be a battle between a strong contender and the worst team in baseball.
So why do I feel like the Fish have the pitching edge?
It's probably because the Giants are starting former Marlins long reliever Chad Gaudin tonight. Chad Gaudin, folks!

Whoops, I spoke too soon.
Gaudin has actually done most of that as a reliever, as he has only three starts this season. He's thrown 17 innings in his starts and has a 4.24 ERA and 4,29 FIP.
Tom Koehler, on the other hand, has struggled and likely could use a return to a relief role for which he is probably better suited. He has done admirably, but Henderson Alvarez can't return soon enough.

Oh, he's only starting to give the struggling Marcell Ozuna a rest. Don't worry gang, Juan Pierre is still leading off for your Miami Marlins!
