Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs
L 3-5 @ Nashville Sounds
Kevin Mattison, CF: 1-for-4, R, 2B, 2 SO
Koyie Hill, C: 2-for-4, R, 2 2B, SO
Rett Varner, SP: 4.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, ER, 2 BB, 4 SO
The Zephyrs pitching struggled with control, walking seven batters, and surrendering five runs early on to the Sounds. Koyie Hill started a three-run rally in the eight inning with a double, but New Orleans couldn't overcome the large deficit.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns
L 8-11 vs. Montgomery Biscuits
Jake Marisnick, CF: 3-for-5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, SO
Jacob Realmuto, C: 2-for-4, R, 2 2B, SO
Robert Morey, SP: 4.0 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO
Grant Dayton, RP: 1.0 IP, H, 2 SO
Arquimedes Caminero, RP: 1.0 IP, H, R, ER, 3 SO, HR
Jake Marisnick's spectacular hot streak continued with his ninth double and third triple of the season. He is batting .400 in his last ten games, and has an overall .276/.327/.503 line this year. Marisnick probably won't get promoted to Triple-A this year, as the Marlins have time to develop him with the surplus of outfielders in the organization. He is having a fine season, however.
High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads

Wilfredo Giminez, C-1B: 3-for-4, 2B, SO
Jose Urena, SP: 7.0 IP, 4 H, 5 SO
Jose Urena delivered perhaps his best start of the season, lasting seven innings without walking a batter or giving up a run. His season ERA fell to 3.67.
Low Class A: Greensboro Grasshoppers
No game scheduled
Short-Season: Batavia Muckdogs
L 3-7 @ Auburn Doubledays

Avery Romero, 2B: 0-for-4, SO
Ryan Aper, CF: 0-for-3, 3 SO
Ryan Newell, SP: 4.0 IP, 3 H, 5 R, ER, 3 BB, 3 SO
Welcome to professional baseball, Ryan Aper! This year's sixth round draft pick, Aper holds of honor of being the first member of the Marlins' draft class to make his professional debut. He went 0-for-3 with a hat-trick, but there's always tomorrow.
