The Zephyrs drew a whopping eight walks against Chris Narveson and other Nashville pitchers. Jake Smolinski hit his fourth homer, now he has his best slugging percentage since 2009. Also of note, Gorkys Hernandez stole another base and Chris Hatcher collected yet another save.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns
W 6-2 vs. Montgomery Biscuits
Jake Marisnick, CF: 1-for-5, HR (9), RBI
Kyle Jensen, RF: 2-for-4, HR (14), RBI
Mark Canha, 1B: 2-for-4, HR (5), 2B, RBI
Adam Conley, SP: 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8 K
Adam Conley had one of his better starts of the season, only needing 88 pitches to go seven innings. Conley has been quietly proving that he can handle Double-A in 2013. A 64/15 K/BB ratio and the numerous adjustments he has successfully made throughout the year have been evidence of that. Mark Canha powered the Jacksonville offense, and Kyle Jensen and Jake Marisnick both added long balls as well.

L 3-6 (F/12) vs West Virginia Power
Cody Keefer, LF: 2-for-5
Jesus Solorzano, RF: 1-for-6, SB (20)
Anthony Gomez, SS: 2-for-6, SB (5)
Matt Milroy, SP: 5 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K
Despite an ugly four errors, Greensboro managed to take West Virginia deep into extra innings on Friday night. West Virginia has one of the more interesting, star studded rosters in the SAL, including outstanding athletes like Barret Barnes and Stetson Allie. Even though Greensboro definitely lacks star power, they are still managing to stay in games against teams like West Virginia due to their ability to get to the opponent's bullpen early on. Facing Tyler Glasnow, a 6'7'' lefty, Greensboro stifled at the plate, but they still were able to get to the Power bullpen by the sixth inning. Greensboro falls to 32-35 on the season with the loss.
