Triple-A: New Orleans Zephyrs
W 7-1 vs. Salt Lake Bees
Brian Flynn, SP: 6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 6 BB, 7 K
Six walks in six innings is not a pretty statistic. However, Brian Flynn still had a great start and was able to keep Salt Lake off balance all night. Only 55 of his 102 pitches were strikes, but he impressively fought through his struggles and was able to make it six innings. The Zephyrs offense was able to piece together hits to score seven runs off of A.J. Shugel and Ryan Brasier. New Orleans scored all of their runs in the fifth and sixth inning.
Double-A: Jacksonville Suns
L 4-5 vs. Pensacola Blue Wahoos (F/13)
Christian Yelich had his finest game of the season Tuesday night, accounting for 62.5 percent of Jacksonville's hits. Nonetheless, he didn't have much support from the players around him, as the entire Suns lineup struck out 20 times. Yelich's homer to lead off the bottom of the 12th tied the game up, but Collin Cargill allowed a go-ahead single from Brodie Greene in the top of the thirteenth.
High Class A: Jupiter Hammerheads
W 9-2 @ Lakeland Flying Tigers
Jose Urena, SP: 5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
Aside from giving up a homer to Jason King in the third, Jose Urena was pretty much flawless. Although he was pulled after five innings (to keep him fresh all season), Urena looked as if he could have easily thrown another two or three. The Hammerheads had fourteen hits and five walks Tuesday night. They improved to 15-16 on the season.
Low Class A: Greensboro Grasshoppers
