The Miami Marlins are looking to break their six-game losing streak, but their challenge is once again the Tampa Bay Rays as the team continues their four-game home-and-home series with their in-state rivals. It will be the ever-deceptive strike-thrower Kevin Slowey versus the equally baffling Jeremy Hellickson.

The two starting pitchers listed here are quite confusing. Marlins fans are confused as to how Slowey has kept up this kind of performance, though they are probably now wondering how Slowey, like the rest of this roster, will inevitably blow up. Rays fans are probably wondering who the Hellickson, well, Hellickson is. He won the Rookie of the Year a few years ago on the back of BABIP luck and very few strikeouts, but now everything is heading south for him.

You know it is a bad sign when Juan Pierre is your designated hitter.
- I will not be in for at least the early part of tonight's game, as I have catch-up work to do in anticipation of my test at the end of the month.
