The Miami Marlins won a game last night, and it was thanks to a home run, surprisingly enough. Of course, when you win a game, Marlins fans now expect you to win all the games, so the Fish have a tough task ahead as they look to pick up a second straight win for the first time this year. The Cincinnati Reds stand in their way, as it will be Wade LeBlanc versus Bronson Arroyo.

Pitching Matchup

Proj Win% Proj ERA FIP ERA Marlins Reds ERA FIP Proj ERA Proj Win%
.419 4.70 3.05 6.76 LeBlanc Arroyo 4.05 3.66 4.56 .433

On the one hand, Wade LeBlanc is better than that ridiculous 6.76 ERA. Also, the Marlins still have an off-chance at scoring off of the soft-tossing Arroyo. Then again, LeBlanc gives up home runs for a living thanks to his fly ball ways, and Great American Ballpark is a wonderful to hit home runs. If he is not on his game, balls could be flying out in a hurry.

Lineup

Order Player Proj wOBA vs. RHP
1 Juan Pierre .301
2 Placido Polanco .281
3 Giancarlo Stanton .402
4 Greg Dobbs .286
5 Justin Ruggiano .314
6 Nick Green ---
7 Miguel Olivo ---
8 Donovan Solano .277

Nick Green got moved up the lineup, obviously meaning that Mike Redmond though that his nice game yesterday is indicative of true performance. More importantly, none of the hitters at the bottom of the order for the Fish are an good, so there is no worry about the order of things.

Notes

- I will not be around for the beginning of this game, as I will be working on some medical-related practice for a test. I should be back somewhere close to 3 pm EST. Keep the seat warm for me everyone!

Bold Prediction: Marlins def. 4-3 (That's right, four runs!)
