In the Miami Herald, Samson was quoted regarding Jeffrey Loria's lack of interest in selling the team. Samson said. “Jeffrey loves being the owner, and we love Miami and we love this ballpark. Jeffrey owns the entire team and he’s not selling.”
I wonder how much Jeffrey will "love being the owner" when is is booed every time he makes an appearance and when his new stadium is almost empty for every game. He could fire Joe Gerrardi for criticizing him for yelling at the umps, but he can't fire the fans for criticizing him. His immense ego evidently kept him from sharing his insights about his plans to make the team competitive, if he even has such a plan. Or is the plan to pocket as much money as possible before blowing town?
“I understand where the fans are coming from and the upheaval,” said Marlins president of baseball operations Larry Beinfest. “But it is time to turn the page. Organizationally, we have. I think it’s kind of done. I think it’s been hashed out enough.”
Hashed out enough? Maybe so for "the organization." He obviously doesn't understand the fans' rage at being short-changed again.
