Marlins Projected to have 6th pick in 2013

Using the W-L projections from coolstandings.com I went through and projected what teams will have picks 1-10 in the 2013 1st year player draft. The projections are as of 8-07-2012.

The bit I wrote about the Marlins is below.

The full post can be found here on my blog. ( I am shameless with my self-promotion)

Feel free to discuss below and answer the poll question.

Pick #6 Miami Marlins Current W-L (49-60) Projected (70-92)

The Marlins have fallen a long way...A long long way. They had their 191m spending spree in the offseason, new stadium, new logo/uniforms. "The Franchise" chose to follow the fish over the course of the season. Both for the dynamic personalities and because Showtime and many others thought the Marlins would be a good team. Not a team with a -100 run differential (29th offense, 21st pitching) good for 4th worst in the league. Fortunately The marlins have taken action and they traded Anibal Sanchez, Omar Infante, Hanley Ramirez and some bullpen arms for prospects and payroll relief. Currently the Marlins sit with some very real Major League talent (a climb out of the basement in the NLE in 2012 is very possible), and mid-level farm with a few "A" caliber prospects. The Marlins have saved some money for the 2013 offseason, if it is spent well we could very well see the 2013 Marlins do what the 2012 Marlins were expected to do.
