The Miami Marlins came up with a nice win last night and were able to at least force a split of the doubleheader, but tonight they face a greater challenge. Mark Buehrle will take the hill for the Fish, but his struggles as of late are concerning for Marlins fans who already have to support a poor offense. Meanwhile, Jordan Zimmermann will pitch for the Nats, and he is pretty good, I hear.
Pitching Matchup
| Proj Win% | Proj ERA | FIP | ERA | Marlins | Nationals | ERA | FIP | Proj ERA | Proj Win% |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| .529 | 3.71 | 3.98 | 3.60 | Buehrle | Zimmermann | 2.28 | 3.42 | 3.78 | .521 |
Lineup
| Order | Player | Proj wOBA vs. RHP |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bryan Petersen | .293 |
| 2 | Scott Cousins | .284 |
| 3 | Jose Reyes | .347 |
| 4 | Carlos Lee | .335 |
| 5 | Greg Dobbs | .290 |
| 6 | Donovan Solano | .275 |
| 7 | Gorkys Hernandez | --- |
| 8 | John Buck | .288 |
This lineup, oh my goodness. Giancarlo Stanton can't get here soon enough. Donovan Solano gets the start at second base in place of the injured Emilio Bonifacio, who will be out for the rest of the year after last night's thumb injury.
Bold Prediction: Nationals def. Marlins 4-0
