The Miami Marlins finally picked up a win to get off of their recent struggles with a 2-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves. The Fish also had a nice evening because of the recent Detroit Tigers trade with Jacob Turner coming over to the Marlins for Anibal Sanchez and Omar Infante. But tonight, the more pressing matter amid the chaos of the team's apparent seller mode is that they have a game tonight! The Braves and Marlins square off again tonight, and the Fish will boast yet another lineup to make up for their sudden lineup deficiencies.
Pitching Matchup
| Proj Win% | Proj ERA | FIP | ERA | Marlins | Braves | ERA | FIP | Proj ERA | Proj Win% |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| .520 | 3.79 | 3.84 | 3.29 | Buehrle | Hudson | 3.70 | 3.37 | 3.55 | .549 |
Lineup
| Order | Player | Proj wOBA vs. RHP |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jose Reyes | .349 |
| 2 | Greg Dobbs | .290 |
| 3 | Carlos Lee | .322 |
| 4 | Justin Ruggiano | .326 |
| 5 | Logan Morrison | .349 |
| 6 | Hanley Ramirez | .346 |
| 7 | Emilio Bonifacio | .307 |
| 8 | John Buck | .293 |
Hanley Ramirez is back in the lineup tonight amid a swirl of rumors about his future with the team. With the amount of interest, it certainly sounds like trading Ramirez is a possibility, but I feel as though his lack of current performance will preclude the Marlins from ultimately making a deal.
Bold Prediction: Marlins def. Braves 3-2
