Juan Carlos Oviedo (formerly Leo Nunez) has had two weeks tacked on to his original six-week suspension, according to The Miami Herald:

Major League Baseball, which privately informed involved parties last month that it planned to give Oviedo a six-week suspension upon his return to the United States, has changed plans and decided to make the ban eight weeks, according to an MLB source.

Oviedo, originally arrested in the Dominican Republic for using a false identity, was suspended by Major League Baseball for six weeks, but because he missed spring training with visa issues, two weeks will be appended to the suspension.

The suspension is not retroactive and will not begin until Oviedo receives a visa and returns to the United States. He is currently completing community service in the Dominican Republic before he's allowed to seek a visa.

The Marlins can't get Oviedo back fast enough, as closer Heath Bell has left much to be desired.
