The monstrosity is becoming real...
So, as a fan that lives in New Jersey, I regular check the Marlins' website for updates and stories. I'm also flying for opening day (SO PLEASE IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WITH AN EXTRA TICKET MESSAGE ME!!!!), so I am on there constantly trying to figure out a way to opening day... (HINT HINT). I also like to check out the development on the stadium apart from what my friends send me as they drive by...

But really
If anyone has an extra ticket, or knows someone selling an extra ticket or two for opening day, PLEASE help me out so my flights from Jersey don’t go to waste. I really don’t want to support the a-holes on Stub Hub and eBay that bought season tickets just to rip me off for the one game I want to travel down for…
sorry man, but extra tickets dont exist for this one.
btw, i hope stanton is able to break that horrendous thing in center. Either by using it too much, or preferably by putting a ball through its power supply.
The sad part
Im a former season ticket holder and emailed my old rep, who is in charge of sales now. He flat out admitted the hundreds of tix on eBay and stubhub are season ticket holders but couldn’t help me out. People like me will travel for this game but they won’t put the limited extra tix out to the public til march. It’s being terribly managed and for how much they’ve screwed the fans in the past you’d think they’d like to start out fresh on a good foot or would alter course when they see what’s going on with resales already. Apparently not…
I don't "need" to attend the first game
The stadium will be there for at least 30+ years, and there will be plenty of games. As much as I would like to be there for the very first one, it might not be worth the headache of buying the ticket from scalpers online. It is not worth the parking nightmare for the first few games either, as people show up in droves for the first time in many years, catching the local homeowners off guard and not ready to open their yards to fan vehicles.
I think I’ll rather catch the game in my backyard. I’ll hook up my 50 inch HD tv in my back porch, and watch the game while grilling steaks, drinking beer, and smoking cigars.

I second that, especially living in Palm Beach. The drive is further down, meaning it’ll be a rarity for me to go to weekday games. Thank goodness for the roof so I know the game will be played. I will go when they face an uninspired opponent like the Astros (or whatever they’ll be called next year)
