Both players are similar in terms of HR production, batting average, OBP, and RBIs. Neither steal many bases.
When it comes to defense, Gaby Sanchez cannot play any other position except 1B. The Fish have tried with no success. Lomo is a average to below-average left fielder, which is why he was replaced on a consistant basis in late innings. He can play 1B if needed, on what level though?
If the Marlins decide to bring in Cespedes, it would allow Boni to move to LF, and either Gaby or Lomo could be traded.
Which would you rather keep, and which one do you send packing?

I voted for Morrison.
The Marlins would get more in return for him. Sanchez possesses a passable bat and above average defense. If the Marlins are indeed among the frontrunners for Cespedes this makes even more sense.
Or, imagine, being able to be magically whisked away to... Delaware. Hi. I'm in Delaware.
I believe that trading either of them now would be selling them short.
Morrison is a lefty who is a complete hitter, making him much more valuable then Gabby. However, both Gabby and LoMo should improve upon their 2011 seasons. As i’ve said before, it would make the most sence to capitalize on Gabbys early season success by trading him in may or june. I think LoMo is just too valuable to trade, unless we get a frontline starter or many top prospects in return. I see a .400 obp and 25 homers in 2012 for Logan. Gabby will never hit at that level, but he will pretend to for the first couple of months of the season. Bottom line: trade gabby in season when his value is highest.
