Marlins acquire Alfredo Amezaga; Joe Thurston DFA'd

The Marlins acquired Alfredo Amezaga in a trade with the Colorado Rockies for minor league infielder Jesus Merchan. To make room on the 25-man and 40-man roster Joe Thurston was designated for assignment.

This improves the team, although marginally on the field, but it will definitely liven it up in other ways.

What can you tell us about Jesus Merchan? Is he the sort of Jesus one would better not (#@%&!) with?

There are no apostrophes in plurals.
A lot is two words. Allot can be one word but it has another meaning.
The only time you really want to use "myself" is when you are the recipient of your own action. Usually you're better off using "me."
Your is not the correct contraction of you are. The word you're looking for is you're.
It's anyway, not anyways.
But if you only remember one thing...
