Florida Marlins All-Star shortstop Hanley Ramirez is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Jupiter starting Friday, just in time for the final four Fins & Feathers Series games of 2011.
When Ramirez enters the Jupiter clubhouse, he'll find some familiar faces sharing the locker room. Fellow Marlins Scott Cousins and Donnie Murphy are also rehabbing with Jupiter, and all three are expected in Friday night's lineup.
...Hanley's rehab coincides with the final set of Fins & Feathers Series games, matching the Hammerheads with their roommates the Palm Beach Cardinals. Roger Dean Stadium is the only complex in the country to house two full-season Minor League Baseball teams.
As far as I know there is not set time for his rehab assignment. However, Hanley gets to buy the post-game spread. With all the Marlins rehabbing in Jupiter this season the Hammerheads have been eating well all year long. So I guess, that is the silver lining.
