Billy the Marlin represents the Florida Marlins baseball franchise. He is considered to be an extremely funny mascot who is upto some prank or the other. He was first seen as the official mascot of the team in the year 1993. His name was kept simple so that kids could easily remember it. He has an official fan club to his credit. It is called the Billy’s Bunch and it is for kids upto the age of 12 years.
