For a game that started out so well, it sure didn't end that way.

Due to technical maintenance tonight on FishStripes, this recap has to be down and dirty. So let's see what we can cover.

In the second, with one out Gregg Dobbs doubled and Mike Stanton followed with a home run to center to get the Marlins on the board first. With two outs in the inning Emilio Bonifacio hit a ground rule double and Javy Vazquez helped his cause by lacing a single to center to plate Boni. Score:3-0 Marlins.

In the third Logan Morrison led off with a double and with two outs Stanton tripled down the right field line to score LoMo. 4-0 Marlins.

In the sixth with Javy getting tired his breaking pitches started hanging and his fastball flattened out, all signs of fatigue. But yet he was left out there. Ryan Roberts hit a two run home run. Justin Upton drove in Kelly Johnson who had tripled to make the score 4-3 Marlins.

Running out time.

In the seventh the D-backs tied the score at 4 a piece thanks to fielding error by the Marlins.

In the eighth, the D-backs took the lead thanks in part to another error by the Marlins. 5-4 D-backs.

In the ninth John Buck hit a solo shot over the pool to re-tie the game at five.

In the bottom of the ninth, Clay Hensley hurt himself and will likely end up on the DL. With two outs in the inning and a runner on third, Burke Badenhop came on in relief. He jammed Upton and shattered his bat. Most of time when that happens it is a harmless popup on the infield. However for some strange reason the blooper carried into shallow right out of the reach of the defensive fielders. So the Marlins lost 5-6.
