Fish Wrap: Marlins One, Giants None

Anibal Sanchez clearly loves AT&T park. Either he owns shares in the nation's largest wireless carrier, or the San Francisco air trips his awesome switch.

The last time Ani took the mound in San Fran, he pitched a one-hit complete game shutout. Thursday afternoon, he nearly matched that, tossing another complete game shutout to boost the Fish to their first sweep of the Giants since 1995.

With his immediate family watching from the stands and the Marlins defense bringing their A game behind him, Anibal struck out eight, and allowed just five hits over nine innings.

All the Marlins needed was a single run to complete the sweep of the reigning World Series champs, but with Ryan Vogelsong dueling it out with Anibal, the run wasn't easy to come by. Vogelsong allowed eight hits and struck out three in his eight innings on the mound, and gave up just one run to the Marlins in the sixth inning.

Chris Coghlan doubled to lead off, and Emilio Bonifacio's sac bunt moved him to third before Logan Morrison singled to put the Marlins on the board.

The Marlins have started off their road trip 3-0, and are now sitting at 10 games over .500, just one game back from the Phillies, who top the NL East.
