The Marlins are going for the series win tonight. It's Dynamite Night at the park, so if you are going to the game be sure to buy the special tickets so you will get the "Ross is Boss" t-shirt. Also, it is for a good cause.
Chris Volstad is on the mound tonight for the Marlins. Volstad pitched reasonably well in his last start but only when 5 innings because Edwin decided to pinch-hit for him to see if the team could score some runs. It didn't work. As long as Chris keeps the ball down and his sinker is sinking he should do fine. This is his kinds park.
Madison Bumgarner takes his turn in the rotation. Don't let his record fool you, Bumgarner is a heckva lot better than that. The lefty went 8.2 in his start while giving up only 1 run against the Dodgers. He throws a fastball (92 mph), slider, curve and change. His fastball, slider combination has been quite good this season.
The Marlins starting lineup is:
Coghlan, CF
Ramirez, SS
LoMo, LF
Gaby, 1B
Stanton, RF
Buck, C
Helms, 3B
Infante, 2B
Volstad, P
Ichthyomancy is ready for some more MIdnight Baseball.
Best of Luck to You!
