Are we for real?
12-6. That is the current record of the Florida Marlins as of April 22 as well as tied for second place for the NL East. Obviously it is still way too early to say that we are a playoff team, but why not? Our pitching staff has been absolutely invincible with a splendid ERA of 3.16. Our bullpen has been unquestionably consistent throughout the year. Leo Nunez has been practically un-hittable. As for hitting, as a team we have been hitting .266, but thats counting at-bats with pitchers. Gaby Sanchez is being the over .300 hitter he was when he was with the Canes. Logan Morrison is hitting the cover off the ball with 4 home runs already. Hanley Ramirez is off to a slow start but he is notorious for that. So I raise the question again, why can't we be in the playoff debate? We certainly have the credentials for it and no one can disagree. As long as we stay consistent for the rest of the year, we'll see you in October.

Slight error.
Were tied for first not for second.

So young we don't know better. Young AND hungry.
These kids have no idea why they can’t compete. They don’t know better. They get such a charge out of playing in front of a MLB crowd that they playnas good on the road as home.
Nobody is gonna want to play us in September if our pitching stays healthy cause these young kids are ready to power up some wins behind those big arms we got on the mound.
Get on board now. There is plenty of room on the bandwagon!

I dount allow myself the blind faith
I’m gonna be taking a “we’ll see” approach. We’re playing well as of now, and while it certainly makes me happy, I dont believe we’re a playoff team yet.

Why not?
Our pitching is healthy, the bullpen is playing great, and the batting is as usuall. We have been nocking the playoff doors the last couple of seasons and that with a bullpen that was more like the mvp for the other team. They couldn save even there life if it depentded on it.
Life is good and we are rolling, count me in the bandwagon.
I will see the Dolphins win a SUPER BOWL before i die(23 years and counting)
Hard to say who's for real and not..
At this point, but I think we definitely have a competitive team this season. We just need to get our guys back healthy, we still have a struggling Stanton, LoMo’s out (and Hanley has a hurt ego)
Your sig here.
definitely too early too tell...
we’re pitching really, really well, but the phils & braves have great rotations too. hanley & stanton are struggling & lomo’s injured but the phils are winning without lidge, utley & brown & ibanez struggling.
im thinking the fish are going to have to make at least one move to sustain winning at this pace:
1) power-hitting (hopefully LH) 3B or maybe 2B. someone who can bat 4th/5th/6th to keep stanton out of cleanup for awhile & provide extra power/protection. & would also offset lomo moving to 2nd in BO if infante can’t even sustain a .300 OBP. & won’t push a dominguez callup.
2) SP. hopper makes some RPs expendable & volstad is still not pitching that well, while he still could be traded for value. vazquez is doing well right now, but who knows how long that’ll last. so if volstad can’t get his ERA under 5.50/5.00 we should make a move in my opinion.
as long as JJ, ricky & anibal keep pitching this way we’ve got a chance & if hanley will start hitting we may be able to compete with the phils & braves all season
That's what I'm sayin
