Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

All True Marlins Team

Over at Beyond the Box Score, I come up with a "True Marlins" team. Basically, what is the best 25-man roster you can put together with players who have played for the Marlins their entire career? I realize it's a silly exercise for a 19-year old team, but it's just part of the series. 16 of the players are current Marlins. One of the players didn't quite make it because he wasn't eligible, but I gave him a shout out at the end. Come on over and start a conversation about the team!

To make a roster for an MLB team involving only those who have played their ENTIRE career for one team is a waste IMO.

Free agency in MLB basically dictates that any roster is going to consist of guys that have played 5 years or fewer or the 1 guy that the team couldn’t let go of. The Marlins basically have well over half of their historical roster ineligible for consideration just because of that despite having existed only 19 years. Still, good effort on your end and a nice roster given greater handcuffs on you than Beinfest has had. Maybe adjust for players who have spent 75% or more of their careers on 1 team.

NY Jets = NFL's Chicago Cubs

There's a fine line between hopeful and desperate. Just look @ Jets fans.
