The Mets are in town to play a two-set, which will be the final games versus the Mets this season.
Adalberto Mendez is on the mound for the Marlins. Mendez will be making his third start of the season and his first one against someone other than the Phillies. He pitched reasonably well in his last start going 4.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. But his main problem was he walked five in the start and pitched his way into a jam. Since the Marlins had a chance of winning the game, Edwin turned to the Hopper to get the team out of the mess.
Mike Pelfrey is on the hill for the Mets. Pelfrey has put together a solid season this year, but he does have one Achilles heel - road games. Pelfrey has an ERA of 2.87 at home compared to an ERA of 5.30 on the road. Also, JRS has to be one of his least favorite parks. He has made 4 starts in the stadium and has yet to win a game. Here's hoping that streak continues tonight.
Ichthyomancy is good to go.
Best of Luck to You!
