The Marlins are in Washington, D.C. to open up a 10-game road trip.  First up is a three-game set against the Nationals.

Anibal Sanchez takes the mound for the Marlins.  Anibal just wasn't sharp in his last outing after throwing a complete game in the previous one.  It took Sanchez 103 pitches to get through 4.1 innings.  Hopefully, with the extra day of rest, he will be good to go.  It might take him an inning or two to fine tune his breaking stuff.

Stephen Strasburg is on the hill for the National.  This will be Strasburg's first start since coming off the DL for shoulder tightness.  Strasburg will be limited to 90 pitches in tonight's contest.  With any luck, he won't be sharp but with if he is, putting him into deep counts will get him out of there pretty quickly.

Cody Ross and Gaby Sanchez are expected to return to the lineup tonight.  So that is good news.

Ichthyomancy is ready for some baseball.

Best of Luck to You!

I was driving around

And I saw a street sign named bonifacio place with a bus bench under it. This made me think. Bonifacio, place, bench.? Bonifacios place is on the bench. Haha just thought I’d share that!

Spud’s was the email for Gary Carter, and mine was the one about the catcher and Leo’s change up.

It's about time Logan started walking.

Isn’t that his best attribute?

Not too well

Is Uggla okay?

Kind of weird that they pulled him — for Bonifacio, no less. (Unless it’s a defensive replacement thing, but wouldn’t you at least let Uggla bat and then replace him in the field?) But I don’t see anything anywhere saying he’s injured… what’s up?

I call him LeBron Jim for short.
