My apologies to those offended by Uggla Slogan post

I wrote a post earlier today wanting to change the slogan for the announcers when Uggla hit a homerun. I never knew the story. I wasn't some pompous punk who was bashing the marlins. I've been with them from the beginning. From the high points in 1997 and 2003, to the lowpoints of trading Miguel Cabrera for Cameron Maybin. i just recently learned about the Uggla story. So to all faithful marlins fans, especially Ladyfish and Gamefish I"M SORRY

Thanks for the apology

It was just hard to believe you were a true fan (plus your screen name didn’t help) and didn’t know the history of the saying. Hopefully from this point on you’ll have an appreciation for when the announcers say, “HIS NAME IS DAN UGGLA!”

I agree

Whats with the screen name if youre a Marlins fan?

But its fine to make the mistake.

i am nothing BUT a marlins fan

and i have been since the beginning, even though i was only five. i never went anywhere without my marlins teddy bear.
and i find the “his name is dan uggla” thing incredibly annoying. i love uggla and what he does…even his all year cooling commercials, but i just can’t stand it when tommy and rich shout that out after every hr uggla hits.
and i know the origin etc., it doesn’t make it any less annoying to hear. or me any less of a fan.

that was my point

the origin doesn’t make it less annoying. I still would like a new one

Its not that annoying....

It would get annoying if they said it every game, and then I would be really happy cuz that would mean Uggla was hitting HRs every game. Youre only gonna hear it 20 to 30 times a season (if you watch evrery single game) and its not that annoying. Just go with it and be happy

I know,

It should make you happy as a Marlins fan to hear the slogan
