Brett Carroll hero for a day in New Orleans

Brett Carroll was the offense for the Zephyrs last night.

New Orleans Zephyrs right-fielder Brett Carroll had gone 62 at-bats in a Zephyrs uniform without a home run this season.

Carroll ended that streak Friday night with a solo shot to straight-away center field in the seventh inning to propel the Zephyrs (36-37) to a 1-0 victory against the Oklahoma City RedHawks (40-34).

Carroll hit two home runs in 76 at-bats when he was up with the Marlins.  Of course, BC being the offensive hero of the game doesn't mean we are going to see him anytime soon.  In fact, unless a few injuries occur, we will doubtfully see him until September.  But nonetheless, it was a good night for Brett.
