Marlins Send Buente to AAA, Designate Jorge Sosa
After Sunday afternoon's series finale with the Rays, the Marlins announced a few roster moves, both involving the flailing Fish 'pen.
Jay Buente was optioned to AAA New Orleans, and Jorge Sosa--who walked in two runs in Saturday Night's loss to the Rays--will be designated for assignment on Tuesday.
No word yet on who will be called up to fill their spots on the roster. We're keeping our fingers crossed for guys who can actually get outs on occasion.

THANK YOU!
FINALLY, and lets hope we acquire someone and not call up someone
Why would they want to do that?
I mean, the Marlins ’pen is the best on the market at the Swap Shop.
"Before I refuse to take your questions, I have an opening statement."
w.e. happened to Miller and West btw?
just curious cause i havent heard anything of them.. could they be called up or are they doing horrible enough that we havent heard from them?
yeah this is getting ridiculous
the FO is mostly at fault here: now im not sure what the exact circumstances here are but….
they shouldve re-signed calero/donnelly after last season. & probably joe nelson the season before. doesnt matter how theyre doing now… they pitched well enough to deserve good contracts. its embarrassing for the FO to let guys go after sub 2.00 era seasons because they dont want to take on the “risk”
& didnt someone mention we have a reliever in triple-A whos dominating there? aldaberto something?? cant imagine the reason we havent called up a guy WHO’S ALREADY IN TRIPLE-A DOMINATING as a reliever while we let buente/sosa/veras get rocked every night.
