Why is Cameron Maybin Still on This Team?

Seriously. Maybin hasn't played since June 6, he has 56/14 walk-to-K ratio, and a .290 OBP. Watching him, it's obvious he has pitch recognition issues and with the arrival of Stanton and the hotness of Coughlan, he's relegated to a pinch runner at best. Wouldn't the best long-term strategy be to let the kid play every day in the minors? Bonifacio can cover CF in a pinch and Carroll could be summoned from New Orleans. It just doesn't seem to make sense to leave him in limbo like this.

I agree

It’s stupid that he’s sitting on the bench when he could be working out his issues in AAA.

Another DNP Yesterday

Which means he hasn’t sniffed an at bat in a week. Is something going on here that we don’t know about? They wouldn’t trade him while his value is low like this right?

He SHOULD be on this team! Stanton is doing FAR WORSE! 29Ks in 59 ABs!
