Coghlan can't see
I'm forming a hypothesis that Chris Coghlan has some kind of impairment that prevents him from playing deflected balls in left field. Last night in the 4th inning Francouer banged a ball down the LF line which deflected off the rolled up tarp. What did Cogz do? Continued running toward the LF corner until the ball was well on its way towards Hanley's position at shortstop.
He made a habit of playing balls poorly off the wall last season and it looks like more of the same this season. Either he has a problem with his vision that prevents him from clearly seeing the ball or his abstract logic or perception is not suited to his fielding position.
Discuss.

He's not an outfielder.
Move him to the infield, you solve this problem. Of course, there’s no room in the infield, so we’d have to trade someone. Etc.
