Game Today

The Marlins are taking on the Red Sox at home today in front of a sold out crowd. Anibal Sanchez is on the hill for the Fish, and Tim Wakefield will throw for Boston. The game starts at 1:05.

Lineup:

Chris Coghlan, LF

Bryan Petersen, CF

Hanley Ramirez, SS

Jorge Cantu, 3B

Dan Uggla, 2B

Jai Miller, RF

Mike Lamb, 1B

Brett Hayes, C

Anibal Sanchez, P

If you're one of the lucky folks with tickets to the game, and there is anything you don't like about your experience at RDS today (music too loud, hot dog overcooked, Marlins lose), it's Dan's fault. He welcomes your complaints.

Game Thoughts:

The Hurk looked incredible…

I liked the player videoboad slides w/ the orange sunrise and palm trees and things.

I also thought those good tunes need to be LOUDER dan.

Also saw Frank Forte filming w/ fsn camera. (I had no idea he was a camera man) Said he was recording for a later segment.

Everyone kept asking him about hockey…..

"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."

alright alright alright

Definitely agree on the volume. I totally redid the levels for the future (although now I’m getting told as I type this that one of the vendors is yelling at people because he thinks it’s too loud… if it’s not one thing, it’s another).

And yeah, I totally did those backdrops. I’ve got another set on just a photo of palm trees and blue sky and blah blah blah but it’s kind of boring so I think I’m only going to use it for teams we’ve already played. That one yesterday is way better.

Dan

Could you do something about the Marlin’s banner on our club house? The Cardinals have this impressive banner with all their World Series wins listed on theirs and then there’s ours which is rather dinky (I had to get the binoculars out to read the small print) which says, “Jiffy Lube, Official oil change of the Marlins”—pitiful!

got to get them cash money dollars

But the Cardinals one is extra impressive because it’s new. As recently as January they still had the banner they’d used since their last World Series and it was rather dingy, to say the least.
