The Marlins starting thinning out the herd, as they always do this time in the spring. The Minor League camp needs players too.
...on Wednesday, the Marlins optioned Jay Buente and Brett Sinkbeil to Triple-A New Orleans. Kris Harvey was optioned to Double-A Jacksonville.
Re-assigned to Minor League camp were Dan Jennings, Matt Dominguez, Matt Peterson, Chris Schroder, Chris Hatcher, Matt Dominguez and Ozzie Martinez.
Hmmm. I don't think the Marlins have two Matt Dominguez, but I could be wrong. Nothing surprising in the announcement.
